Privacy and Cookie Policy
Effective from 11 October 2026
1. Who is responsible for your data
This policy explains how personal data is processed on march-code.tech (the “Site”), operated by March Code (“we”, “us”).
The full legal name, registration details and registered address of the company acting as the data controller are being finalized and will be published on this page shortly. Until then, you can reach us about anything related to your data at info@march-code.tech.
2. What we collect and why
- Server logs. When you open a page, our web server records your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser's user agent. We use this to keep the Site running and secure and to investigate abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Web server logs are deleted after 14 days.
- No analytics right now. The Site currently runs no analytics or advertising trackers, so there is nothing to ask your consent for and no cookie banner. If we turn analytics on, it will load only with your consent, and we will update this policy first.
- Messages you send us. If you write to us by email or on Telegram, we process your name, contact details and whatever you choose to tell us, in order to answer you and, if you wish, prepare a proposal. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering inquiries (Art. 6(1)(f)).
We don't sell personal data, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
3. Where your data is stored and who helps us process it
- Hosting: the Site, its database and server logs run on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) located in Helsinki, Finland, inside the European Union.
- Email: our mailbox info@march-code.tech is hosted by Yandex (Russia). Emails you send us are stored there.
- Telegram: if you message us on Telegram, the conversation is processed by Telegram under its own privacy policy.
4. Transfers outside the EU
Our team works remotely, including from outside the European Economic Area, and our email provider is located in Russia. This means your messages and inquiry details can be accessed from, or stored in, countries for which the European Commission has not adopted an adequacy decision.
The legal mechanism we rely on for these transfers will be specified here shortly, together with the operator’s legal details. If this is a concern for you, tell us and we will keep the conversation to the minimum you are comfortable with.
5. How long we keep it
- Web server logs: 14 days.
- Inquiries and correspondence that don't lead to a contract: 12 months after our last exchange, then deleted.
- If we sign a contract, project correspondence is kept for as long as the contract and the applicable accounting and tax rules require.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- get a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict or object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@march-code.tech. We answer within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in the EU country where you live or work.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
We don't use advertising or social media cookies.
- Admin session cookie: set only for our own team when they sign in to the site's dashboard. Visitors never get it.
8. Children
The Site is meant for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes to this policy
If what the Site does with personal data changes, we update this page before the change takes effect and show the new effective date at the top. See also our Terms of Use.
